Fritidsresor was founded in 1961 and is today the largest tour operator in Sweden with a market share of over 30%.

The Company offers mainstream holidays to sun and beach destinations including the Mediterranean, Canary Islands and Thailand. More than 600,000 holidays were sold in 2010, over 60 percent of which were sold online through the website which has over 450,000 visitors a week. The remainder are sold via a contact centre in Stockholm, four shops and approximately 600 travel agents.

In November 2011, Fritidsresor.se was awarded ‘Best Travel Site of the Year’ in Sweden by Internet World.

The main summer destinations are Turkey, Crete, Cyprus, Mallorca and Rhodes. In the winter the Canary Islands, Thailand, Egypt, Cape Verde and Mexico are the most popular destinations. Known for its differentiated hotel concepts like Blue Village/Blue Village Exotic, Blue Star Club/Blue Star, these hotels offer the famous children’s clubs Bamseklubben (3-6 years) and Super Kids (7-12 years).
