Type of roles

We all work to ‘make travel experiences special’ at TUI Travel and there’s a vast range of roles that make this happen.

We offer all the roles you would expect from the world’s leading leisure travel company from trusted travel advisors and opportunities to work in our many destinations to roles with our airlines. There is also an incredible variety of roles behind the scenes that are essential to our success.

The main types of roles

Product development and marketing

Our product teams have the exciting and rewarding job of identifying and developing the types of holiday and travel options we offer to meet the changing needs of our customers, as well as responding to industry-wide issues such as sustainability. These roles are vital to maintain our leading position in our diverse market sectors and to stay one step ahead of the game.

These roles are closely aligned with our marketing functions and activities to communicate our products to customers. Roles include market research, brand development, customer relationship management, advertising and more.

E-commerce and IT

The internet is increasingly becoming one of our most important sales platforms.  From customer bookings to collaborations with partners, we’re always striving to improve and enhance the online experience of our products and brands.

Providing clear information to our diverse audiences in an accessible way requires a variety of the latest digital skills to ensure our websites have the right impact and work properly at all times. Our businesses are also underpinned by effective IT systems and specialist expertise in this field is vital.

Commercial

Our commercial teams offer varied roles involved in planning and optimising our holiday and travel products for the benefit of our customers, partners and brands. They bring together all the component parts that make our holiday and travel experiences special, from beach holidays to cruises and city breaks to worldwide adventures.

It is here that we identify the best ways to buy and sell component parts, such as hotel beds and airline seats, to optimise efficiency. Liaising with hotels, forecasting travel trends, developing holiday packages, pricing holidays and formulating strategies to increase profitability are all the responsibility of our commercial teams.

Finance and Human Resources

Our sectors have dedicated finance and HR teams to reflect and support the specific nature of the different the businesses. In Finance we have a range of roles which provide accurate and timely information to the Group.

Within Human Resources we have dedicated teams specialising in HR, resourcing, learning and development, rewards and HR Services. They play an important role in supporting the business by developing policies and processes to create a positive employee relations environment as well as delivering a high performance culture and engaging our people.

Personal, expert advice

Safety in the skies is paramount so it is imperative our staff have the knowledge, expertise and professional approach to ensure this is always our chief priority. At the same time, we pride ourselves on punctuality and exceptional service which means expertly balancing the needs of customers with the practicalities and security considerations of air travel.
